The Foundation

Moment was built on the notion that anyone’s classic dream car can become a powerful, worry-free electric vehicle. We engineered our Moment Modular Systems with flexibility and adaptability in mind, allowing us not only to adapt to nearly any classic car architecture, but to achieve consistency, reliability, maintainability, and upgradability across all Moment conversions. This is what sets a Moment apart from any other Classic Electric Vehicle on the market.

Modular Motor Systems

No single motor can be the universal solution to power every classic car. A Moment transformation of a compact 60’s British roadster has very different power requirements than a 70’s American muscle car and the engine bay size reflects that. The Moment Modular Motor System can adapt a wide variety of electric motor systems to any of the vintage drivetrains that are on the road.

  • Universal mounting plates allow for the installation of  motors from multiple manufacturers such as Cascadia, iNetic, Tesla, and Netgain

  • Direct-drive gearboxes can eliminate transmissions while interchangeable transmission-specific adapters and flywheel couplers allow for easy mating to any manual transmission

  • Customizable support rails with chassis-specific motor mounts allow for precise fitment into any vehicle

MODULAR BATTERY ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS

Just as every classic has its own personality, each driver has unique goals and requirements. To accommodate the power and range needs of our customers and maintain or improve the original weight distribution of the vehicle, we developed our Modular Battery Enclosure System. The flexibility of this system allows us to build battery packs with simple buildable bricks that can be placed in the vehicle wherever space allows.

  • MEB, VDA, and even reclaimed Tesla modules for extremely high energy density and low degradation 

  • CNC-machined  boxes, for dimensionally accurate and incredibly strong construction

  • Scalable design allows for stacking in multiple orientations to fit the constraints of any chassis

  • Quick disconnect terminals and valved coolant connections for easy assembly and maintenance

  • Integrated battery management system for constant monitoring of performance, safety, and thermal management
